The following documents were developed by a joint Labor-Management committee comprised of all three deans (as of Spring 2009), Karen Johnson-Weiner from A &S, Elvira Sanatullova-Allison from SEOPS and John McGinness from Crane. The charge came from Provost Madden and President Schwaller, and as the UUP Chapter President, I am soliciting input from all departments on the matter. These documents have not been formally negotiated, so please be assured that the current language in the academic tenure and promotion guidelines has not been changed. I am looking for input prior to any formal negotiations, so your comments are very important.

If you would please share these documents with your faculty in your department and perhaps have a discussion within your department meeting, I would appreciate hearing from departments as well as individuals.  You can forward comments to me via email (rhoadsls@potsdam.edu) or utilize this website to leave comments.

Letter from the Committee-Procedures

The Potsdam Joint Labor-Management Committee for the Individual Development Awards is soliciting applications for the IDA program. The announcement memo and sample forms are attached below. This is an opportunity for our members to seek funds for professional development, and a portion of the funds are reserved each year particularly for part-time employees. Please read the guidelines and adhere to the deadline of November 6, 2009 at 4;30PM.
